Garmont employees took a day to volunteer their time at the local Oregon Zoo. The Oregon Zoo has one of the largest zoo volunteer programs in the country. More than 1500 individuals volunteer more than 117,000 hours per year.
We were able to work with Mary Jo in the Butterfly exhibit creating a space for the larva to hibernate. The butterfly conservation team at the Oregon Zoo works year round, from egg collection to release, to help two native species recover some of their historic range.
